If survivability is not of pressing concern, Clara really gets to shine in these scenarios, and can potentially be completely SP neutral or even SP positive depending on how often she gets hit. This use case makes the most of her kit and is not mutually exclusive with using a more consistent dedicated damage dealer, and it allows you to sacrifice some defensive utility that someone like Gepard may provide and exchange it for far more damage over time. Not for her, mind you, since she has colossal damage reduction as part of her kit, but her teammates could definitely appreciate the extra survivability from those shields.Īs such, Clara is best used as a defensive damage dealer, akin to a support, drawing the enemy aggro away from the team onto herself while contributing quite significant damage of her own. Future characters that also draw attention away from Clara will be similarly unsuitable.īoth Gepard and Preservation Trailblazer are excellent shielding supports that will unquestionably find a spot in teams intended to tackle endgame content like Forgotten Hall, so for Clara to be unable to be paired with them is unfortunate. This is because if Clara’s not getting hit, Svarog’s not countering anything either, thus reducing her damage output considerably. Currently these are Gepard, who has a permanently active self-aggro boost, and Preservation Trailblazer, who is capable of taunting enemies. Note, because of this desire to be attacked, Clara does not wish to be paired with other characters that also draw aggro to themselves. This is particularly efficient if it’s the opening move of a fight, and is similarly achievable by initiating a fight with Clara’s technique, since it also greatly increases her aggro much like her ultimate. Getting into that loop isn’t even that challenging-the first use of her ult in a fight will usually mean you’ll get hit enough to where you’ll be most of the way to your next ultimate by the time the initial effects wear off. Getting hit more often and thus getting more Counters off will not only greatly increase the damage Clara will be doing, but it will also begin to rapidly refill her ultimate, which will mean getting hit more and… You see how this starts to loop. It dramatically raises her already impressive survivability, and raises her counter damage tremendously, but far and away the most useful part is the increased enemy aggro. This is why Clara’s ultimate is so important. You get 2 enhanced counters per ultimate. In addition to this, Svarog’s Counter is enhanced it will activated after any ally gets attacked, and its damage multiplier against the enemy increases by up to 160%, literally doubling the damage of the base Counter, and it spills 50% of its damage over to adjacent targets. Even if no enemies have been marked yet, you may still want to be using Clara’s skill actively, because it gives you more energy for her extremely important and powerful ultimate.Ĭlara’s ultimate increases her talent’s damage reduction by a further 25% at max level, for a new total damage reduction of 35% for 2 turns, as well as greatly increasing her own aggro for the same duration. Her skill deals AoE damage to all enemies and consumes Marks of Counter to double its damage against the marked enemies. This is what allows Clara to become a ridiculous source of passive damage, even in single-target scenarios, but especially in AoE, and it costs nothing. This talent has no cooldown or downtime if Clara keeps getting hit, Svarog will continue to deliver judgement on every single hit taken. She has a permanent 10% damage reduction, and Svarog will immediately smite any enemy that dares to harm Clara, retaliating with a follow-up attack that deals up to 160% ATK damage and applies a Mark of Counter. Clara has a bit of a setup requirement, but she can deal an astonishing amount of damage while being a very durable bruiser-type character.Ĭlara’s talent is where her power lies. Clara and her adoptive robot father, Svarog, are quite the powerful pair.
